This year went by ridiculously fast.

Winter/Early Spring – I met our wedding planner, February and March we were meeting with wedding vendors. I was still living with Bethie in Vinings. My commute was half the amount it currently is. Practically all I could talk about was my wedding. I loved living with a friend. Enjoyed our walks and our dinners out.

Late Spring/Early Summer
– We adopted Leela! I moved into Oscar’s house. Completely re-vamped it. Made it a home. Found out a good friend was pregnant. Started going to therapy because I wasn’t happy with my life. After a couple of sessions, realized who IS completely happy with their life, and decided to stop going. Tried out to be a Bee on Weddingbee. Posts weren’t “involved” enough. Still pumped about the wedding. Had my bridal shower.

Late Summer/Fall – Practically ate, slept, and breathed Weddingbee. Read online about all things wedding. Getting used to hour and a half commute to work. Trying to see the bright side of things. Had the most fun at a wedding ever – my own. Went on crazy fun honeymoon to Orlando.

After wedding/Christmas – Came back to work grudgingly. Overwhelmed by all the presents and thank-you notes. Had a great Thanksgiving. Had another great Thanksgiving. Bugged Oscar about putting up our Christmas tree. Decorated the house. Still didn’t feel the “Christmas spirit.” Began thinking about starting a family next spring. Found out another good friend is pregnant. Ready for 2009 to start.

The holidays were good this year. I was bummed because I wasn’t able to go up to Charlotte to see family like I’d previously planned due to a mistake on my part about taking my medications for my surgery I was supposed to have the 19th. I didn’t take them early, the doc said, “No we can’t perform the surgery, reschedule for next week,” and I had to have it done on Monday instead. Well, I was supposed to be in Charlotte Monday. So I had to forfeit my trip because I needed to have the surgery done.

Day-of surgery was a success. I mostly slept all day. The painkillers they gave me were super-awesome and I didn’t feel much at all. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were great. I went and saw Marley and Me with my parents, Oscar and my brother. I bawled my eyes out at the end.

Ever since last Friday though, I’ve been having weird dizzy spells. At first I thought it was from the medication, but now I’m not so sure. There’s speculation that I’m (eek!) preggers, but I veto’ed that option. I’m gonna have to break down today and make a doctor’s appointment, I think, because it’s been 5 days and I’m still feeling dizzy. And, I stopped taking the pills last Friday. And the doc’s office that prescribed them still hasn’t called me back…

Anyway.

Happy 2009!
